Tarot Interviews is my primary project: an audio podcast in which guests discuss their work through tarot cards. The cards are used as a structured conversational framework rather than a divinatory tool.Tarot DMs is a sister project that reworks the interview format. Conversations take place via private messenger apps and are published as text-based interviews. Both projects use the same underlying card structures.ISNI: 0000 0005 2953 9242
I follow the Society of Freelance Journalists Code of Practice, including standards of accuracy, fairness, and transparency, and I keep editorial work separate from promotional or PR activity. I am a full voting member of NLGJA: The Association of LGBTQ Journalists, which informs my approach to editorial responsibility and ethical interviewing. I also align my practice with Inclusive Journalism Cymru, particularly in relation to representation, care, and accountability. When interviewing guests, I follow the Trans Journalists Association Style Guide and GLAAD Media Reference Standards. These guide how people are described and quoted, with an emphasis on accuracy, respect, and allowing guests to speak in their own terms. This approach runs through both Tarot Interviews and Tarot DMs. I edit interviews for clarity without altering meaning, provide sufficient context for readers and listeners, and publish with the aim of representing each guest and their work fairly.
I have a long-standing interest in British folklore and local history, including the Belvoir witch trials, and in the historical development of tarot in Britain.

I’ve been working with tarot for over three decades. This portrait shows me using tarot in the late 1990s and reflects a long relationship with the cards that still shapes how I work today. Art by Melodie Neesom (1998)
Alongside my audio projects, I also work in IT on enterprise systems, incident response, and digital services. Earlier in my career, I worked across radio and television in a range of roles, including technical and research work. Working in technical, broadcast, and live performance environments has taught me the value of structure, timing, and good editorial judgement. This site is focused on my creative and editorial work.
