Behind the Scenes at My First Comic Con

Attending my very first MCM London Comic Con as press on October 23 and 24 was an absolute dream. Representing Tarot Interviews at ExCeL London, I spent two whirlwind days soaking in the glorious nerdery vibes, recording 30 fantastic interviews, snapping 150 photos, and clocking over 40,000 steps. Oh, and far too many snacks to power me through.
The sheer creativity on display was incredible. From the breathtaking costumes that some people had taken a year or more to make, to the brilliant writers, illustrators, and artists showcasing their craft, inspiration was everywhere. I even got to meet an artist that created some of my favourite childhood comic strips.
I spent most of my time wandering through Artists’ Alley and Writers’ Block, chatting with creators for an upcoming episode of Tarot Interviews. There’s nothing quite like the joy of stumbling across unique projects and passionate voices you might never have discovered otherwise.
Of course, I couldn't resist capturing some of the stunning cosplay and yes, TAROTRON 2000 made a few friends too.

If you want a sneak peek at the visual madness, I’ve already shared a generous batch of photos over on Instagram - head to @finbarre and @tarotron2000
Right now, I’m editing all the audio and editing together our special MCM episode, which will be landing on Spotify and Apple Podcasts soon. I’ll be sharing direct links to all the featured creators once it goes live so you can support their work.
A massive, heartfelt thank you to the MCM press team for having me, and an even bigger thank you to everyone who shared a story, posed for a picture, or just stopped to say hello. You made my first-ever Comic Con experience special, you fabulous folks.
